The presented work of Alex Lopez aims to bridge the gap between people through common or necessary experiences by giving excerpts from life that one can connect to and reflect upon. The work focuses on an interview with an emergency medical transporter (EMT) and their experiences of transporting sick individuals on the job. These personal experiences will be viewed in conjunction with mainly static video. Lopez is interested in showing people the intricacies of someone’s life as well as how key insight on an incident can impact an EMT or someone in the medical field, the individual and their demeanor towards past experiences from the job and what they have witnessed. This project hopes to see what information people retain from these experiences as well as how they cope with the experiences they were exposed to in the means of helping others.
